Through my frequent discussions with good buddy Ferix [link] it has come to my attention that he is not human. He is, in fact, a Meta-Human, and by brought to my attention, I of course mean he outright told me. The revelation rocked me for about ten seconds as he said something about omelets. I regained my focus in time for him to tell me he's just waiting now for the accident that will trigger the discovery of latent powers, or possibly just bestow them upon him, thus making him a superhero and giving him the potential to change the face of the earth.

I couldn't pass up the opportunity to be involved in changing the face of the earth now, could I?

I have determined that I must be the source of his power in some way. I am going to try and engineer the accident that gives him powers and makes him ascend into his Superhuman state, thus becoming the catalyst for the new world! I'm hitting the drawing board hard and trying to draft up a few potential mishaps for him, but progress is slow. I must first decide what his powers shall be, and then design an accident intended to create the desired power. In this way, I shall go down in history not as the Batman, but rather, the man who shot the Batman's parents.
